I thought Hannah was so brave for all she went through and I wish everyone going through a similar situation had a Pete you made it possible for Hannah to have all those extra years of happiness and in my life that will now be my motto just get on with it.

This was the most heart wrenching,loving film.It made me reflect on how precious every moment is and that it matters so much how you use your time on earth .We are all faced with challenges in life, but getting on with it is so important.

A remarkable film. How incredibly lucky for both you and Hannah to have had each other in your lives .

What a beautiful and honest story of a very courageous young woman We all have to be so grateful for life as the film shows, it can be gone in a flash So many young people die of this terrible disease and we can only hope in the near future there will be more treatments to prolong life and maybe even cure cancer. Like Pete we can only be happy and grateful we have had those we have lost in our life.

Dear Pete, I recently watched Hannah’s story and wanted to get in touch. What an extraordinary person Hannah was. Her story will mean so much to so many people, and I am so very sorry for your loss. She comes across as a truly remarkable woman – resilient, determined, courageous and full of life. She is an inspiration. I lost my daughter, Jess, to glioblastoma (GBM) in November 2023. As Jess’s mum, I found so much in Hannah’s story that resonated with me. Although every journey is different, many of the emotions, challenges and frustrations felt very familiar. After losing Jess, I was shocked by how few treatment options were available and by the reality that the NHS gold standard of care – surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy – has changed very little in decades. Through this experience, I met Georgie Maynard, who is herself living with a GBM diagnosis. Together we co-founded Brain Cancer Justice, a grassroots campaign led by patients, families and supporters who believe brain cancer patients deserve better. Last year we launched a petition calling on the Government to: • Increase investment in brain cancer research to accelerate discoveries and clinical trials. • Ensure every brain cancer patient can access Whole Genome Sequencing and personalised treatment pathways. • Enshrine the Right to Try innovative treatments when standard options have been exhausted. The petition received 109,063 signatures and was debated in Parliament on 15 June 2026. While that was a significant milestone, we know the real work begins now as we continue pushing for meaningful change and holding Government to account. I don’t know whether you’ve come across Brain Cancer Justice before, but we would very much welcome the opportunity to connect with you. We would love to tell you more about the campaign, hear about Hannah, and explore whether there might be ways to work together in support of the wider brain cancer community.
